HOW TO CARE

  • Our Basics & Underwear are pre-washed for you to use immediately
  • Wash inside out in a wash bag in cold water on gentle cycle with plant based detergents and no bleaching agents
  • Wash colours separately - as we do not use toxic chemical fasteners to lock in the colour, you may see some colour run off in the wash but do not worry it is natural and the product will not lose its colour
  • Shake gently before line drying
  • Avoid direct sunlight as this can cause the colour to fade
  • Do not tumble dry as the heat can damage the fabric
  • Creases will not show but if they do they will soften with your body warmth
  • If you must, iron inside out on warm with steam
  • Make sure it is fully dry before storing away

Organic Cotton

We start at the source: our cotton seeds are organic, not GMOs, and our farm partners rely exclusively on non-toxic resources to qualify as 100% organic.
Rain water

We use harvested monsoon rain water throughout the entire seed to shelf journey to avoid wasting this precious natural resource.
DYES

We use non toxic GOTS certified dyes. All our prints and fabrics are dyed using water based dyes free of ammonia, formaldehyde, chlorine bleach and toxic heavy metals.

Potato starch

Instead of using harsh toxic chemicals during production and finishing, we use potato starch to coat the threads which strengthens and prevents breakdown.
Neem

Using age old traditional farming practices we use Neem as an organic pest and fungal control for our crops instead of toxic insecticides or pesticides.
Marigold

We work with nature to protect the land by using innovative natural pest control methods and the power of the humble marigold.
Solar Power

We use the power of the sun. Our mills harness the suns energy with on site solar plants.

Gusset half the width of waistband

"I really wanted to love these and the fabric does feel beautiful. Unfortunately these are unwearable as the gusset is unbelievably narrow (2. 5cm) and the back strap is extremely long. I was so shocked when I first put them on I had to check I wasn't wearing them backwards! I wear thong cut underwear daily from numerous brands yet have never had such an issue with sizing/fit as I have with these. It's as if the width measurements for the gusset and waistband got swapped during the production process?"

Underwear or floss?

"This is like wearing floss. The gusset is tiny and barely covers anything and I’m a size XS. This wouldn’t work for liners, working out or anything in between for me. It definitely does need something in between though. This is my only disappointing item that has come from Bhumi."

Needs a little more where it counts

"Fabric is soft and comfortable on the skin, but unfortunately this high rise style/cut doesn't cover much of what actually needs covering. I found that particularly important area of the material to be very narrow and it’s a bit annoying having to readjust. I also feel that the gusset is quite short and isn’t really long enough to be supporting that area as appropriately as it could be. They’re wearable, but I’m hoping that one day there’s a different style that has a bit more coverage in the front!"

"The fit was very poor. I am always an XS but it was so loose on me and was uncomfortable. I was excited to try on my fiirst organic cotton thong but the fit was so off. Its super long in the gusset and doesnt seem to have a snug enough fit"
