HOW TO CARE

  • We recommend airing the insert or line drying to maintain its integrity and durability
  • Avoid commercial softening products as they may contaminate the organic nature of the product
  • In case you absolutely need to wash, machine dry using low heat, ensuring the temperature remains below 30°C. If necessary, use steam when ironing

We’ve developed a quilt insert made from biodegradable natural fibre, 100% organic cotton certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard that is naturally allergy safe, asthma and sensitive skin friendly and above all - really breathable and comfy to sleep in.

INGREDIENTS
Organic Cotton

We start at the source: our cotton seeds are organic, not GMOs, and our farm partners rely exclusively on non-toxic resources to qualify as 100% organic.
Rain water

We use harvested monsoon rain water throughout the entire seed to shelf journey to avoid wasting this precious natural resource.
DYES

We use non toxic GOTS certified dyes. All our prints and fabrics are dyed using water based dyes free of ammonia, formaldehyde, chlorine bleach and toxic heavy metals.

Potato starch

Instead of using harsh toxic chemicals during production and finishing, we use potato starch to coat the threads which strengthens and prevents breakdown.
Neem

Using age old traditional farming practices we use Neem as an organic pest and fungal control for our crops instead of toxic insecticides or pesticides.
Marigold

We work with nature to protect the land by using innovative natural pest control methods and the power of the humble marigold.
Solar Power

We use the power of the sun. Our mills harness the suns energy with on site solar plants.

Bhumi Quilt is Just Right

"I bought this for all seasons except summer here in Sydney. So far it been great through autumn and so far so good for winter. I use linen quilt cover, and if need be I can slip on the flannelette one if it gets too cold. The weight and quality of this quilt is just amazing, not heavy and seems to keep me warm so far in winter. I slipped back into my feather doona one night, and there is no comparison.
