HOW TO CARE

  • We recommend airing the insert or line drying to maintain its integrity and durability
  • Avoid commercial softening products as they may contaminate the organic nature of the product
  • In case you absolutely need to wash, machine dry using low heat, ensuring the temperature remains below 30°C. If necessary, use steam when ironing

We’ve developed a quilt insert made from biodegradable natural fibre, 100% organic cotton certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard that is naturally allergy safe, asthma and sensitive skin friendly and above all - really breathable and comfy to sleep in.

INGREDIENTS
Organic Cotton

We start at the source: our cotton seeds are organic, not GMOs, and our farm partners rely exclusively on non-toxic resources to qualify as 100% organic.
Rain water

We use harvested monsoon rain water throughout the entire seed to shelf journey to avoid wasting this precious natural resource.
DYES

We use non toxic GOTS certified dyes. All our prints and fabrics are dyed using water based dyes free of ammonia, formaldehyde, chlorine bleach and toxic heavy metals.

Potato starch

Instead of using harsh toxic chemicals during production and finishing, we use potato starch to coat the threads which strengthens and prevents breakdown.
Neem

Using age old traditional farming practices we use Neem as an organic pest and fungal control for our crops instead of toxic insecticides or pesticides.
Marigold

We work with nature to protect the land by using innovative natural pest control methods and the power of the humble marigold.
Solar Power

We use the power of the sun. Our mills harness the suns energy with on site solar plants.

"After seeing a few reviews online about shipping wait times. . . after I made my purchase. I must admit I was a bit apprehensive but can happily say i am beyond stoked with how everything went. Since July last year I found out I had a host of auto immune conditions, hormonal issues and skin cancers. After making the choice to heal naturally i began looking into synthetic materials and how they can affect our bodies natural healing. Whilst researching, I kept being drawn back to Bhumi. The founders message about ethical clothing, healing fabrics and vibrancy of the brand really stood out to me. I noticed there was a 70% off sale coming up and figured why not take full advantage and splurge for the first time ever to see if it will make a difference to my healing journey. I ordered a few sets of the beautiful organic cotton clothing i. e. bralettes, cardis , flare pants with pockets as well as the organic king cotton insert doona. Due to the size of the order i recieved free express shipping (amazing) Shipping took 3 days from order to WA. The items came in individual cotton bags, i will say, they could've used one bag for the clothing items instead of separate ones but you really can't complain when there isn't a single piece of plastic and the bags are all resuable. They're now doubling as carry/ care bags for my music equipment. When the clothing arrived the first thing I noticed was the quality and how soft the fabric felt. With the ailments I am healing, i found synthetic fabrics would cause irritation, itch and flare in certain areas resulting in painful rashes as well as restless/ broken and uncomfortable sleep. Bhumi fabric has helped heal some of those rashes in a matter of days. It's also greatly reduced sweat, smell and comfort during sleep. I'm no longer waking in a puddle of sweat from being restricted unknowingly by a blanket made out of plastic. It genuinely feels like my skin can breathe and I'm looking forward to my hormones feeling much more regulated. Wanting to give my honest feedback and review for anyone in a similar position sitting on the fence. Confidently and highly recommend this company and their products. The only thing I am upset about is the fact I didn't get more in the sale! Beautiful quilt

"I had Bhumi sheets and quilt covers and thought why not have an organic quilt insert why not go all organic without sleeping with chemicals, so I ordered one from Bhumi. It is wonderful, as light as a feather but lovely and warm as well when the nights are cool. Where we live even in summer the nights are cool so the quilt is great and light and warm but also when the nights are hot and humid the quilt is not hot so I believe it will be an all seasons quilt. Thank you Bhumi for a superb product."
