HOW TO CARE

  • Our Organic Mattress Protectors are pre-washed for you to use immediately
  • Wash on its own in cold water on delicate / gentle cycle with plant based detergents and no bleaching agents
  • Shake well before line drying
  • Can be tumble dried on low then line dry immediately
  • Creases will soften with your body warmth but if you need to, iron inside out on warm
  • Make sure it is fully dry before storing away or putting back on the bed

Organic Cotton

We start at the source: our cotton seeds are organic, not GMOs, and our farm partners rely exclusively on non-toxic resources to qualify as 100% organic.
Rain water

We use harvested monsoon rain water throughout the entire seed to shelf journey to avoid wasting this precious natural resource.
DYES

We use non toxic GOTS certified dyes. All our prints and fabrics are dyed using water based dyes free of ammonia, formaldehyde, chlorine bleach and toxic heavy metals.

Potato starch

Instead of using harsh toxic chemicals during production and finishing, we use potato starch to coat the threads which strengthens and prevents breakdown.
Neem

Using age old traditional farming practices we use Neem as an organic pest and fungal control for our crops instead of toxic insecticides or pesticides.
Marigold

We work with nature to protect the land by using innovative natural pest control methods and the power of the humble marigold.
Solar Power

We use the power of the sun. Our mills harness the suns energy with on site solar plants.

"I’ve been using the Bhumi Organic Mattress Protector - Sateen for a few months now and it’s easily one of the best quiet upgrades I’ve made to my bed setup. Material and feel: The sateen weave gives it that smooth, almost silky feel without being slippery. It’s way more comfortable than the crinkly plastic-backed protectors I’ve tried before. You don’t notice it’s there when you’re sleeping, which is the whole point. Breathability: Since it’s organic cotton, it stays cool through the night. I’m a hot sleeper and noticed less sweating compared to my old protector. It doesn’t trap heat like some waterproof ones do. Protection: It handles spills and night sweats really well.
