INGREDIENTS

We start at the source: our cotton seeds are organic, not GMOs, and our farm partners rely exclusively on non-toxic resources to qualify as 100% organic.

We use harvested monsoon rain water throughout the entire seed to shelf journey to avoid wasting this precious natural resource.

We use non toxic GOTS certified dyes. All our prints and fabrics are dyed using water based dyes free of ammonia, formaldehyde, chlorine bleach and toxic heavy metals.

Instead of using harsh toxic chemicals during production and finishing, we use potato starch to coat the threads which strengthens and prevents breakdown.

Using age old traditional farming practices we use Neem as an organic pest and fungal control for our crops instead of toxic insecticides or pesticides.

We work with nature to protect the land by using innovative natural pest control methods and the power of the humble marigold.

We use the power of the sun. Our mills harness the suns energy with on site solar plants.

Shorts feel great, be aware of sizing

"The fabric is gorgeous and soft and the small pockets hold more than I thought they would. I have had issue with the sizing though. I checked with customer service, before purchase, as my measurement was at the top end of XL. I decided to order the XL and it fits, but it is on the loose side, which I was surprised by (being at the top end of that size). Also, if you are buying tights and shorts, be aware that they have different sizing charts, which tripped me up."

Currently Bhumi sources all of its organic cotton from India (and organic Linen from Belgium).
