  • Thread Count (?)
    The Thread Count Myth
Thread count is the number of horizontal and vertical threads in 1 square inch of woven cotton. Contrary to popular belief, higher thread count doesn’t necessarily translate into higher quality – the quality of the sheets depends directly on the weaving process, skilled construction and the quality of the yarn used. Many manufacturers use cheaper yarns and marketing 'gimmicks' (creative counting or double counting of threads) to artificially create a higher thread count. Our Organic Sateen range is made from the highest quality organic cotton and the result is a natural supremely soft sheet with no chemicals or gimmicks.
