Game On: The Ethical Edit To Your Activewear

Advancing the activewear fabric industry with an active and conscious approach to sustainability, Bhumi is creating durable sustainable fabric blends that compete with brands that primarily use synthetic materials. Regarding nature as the highest form of technology and greatest teacher to learn from and adapt to not destroy, Bhumi uses raw materials to create new fabrics and textures made from organic cotton and recycled polyester yarn derived from post consumer waste like PET bottles.
Bhumi wants to be different from the mainstream activewear and yoga brands. With our goal to lead by example, we want to only provide socially conscious products that are high performance, functional to a variety of strength and endurance activities, that benefit the earth, that benefit humanity. We want to set off a large chain reaction, a movement for change; as we exercise and sweat in sweatshop free activewear, we are shaping the future of the world we live in.
'You are not just a person. You are a conscious and formless presence - Eckart Tolle'
Our new Soul Space range has beautiful lines, sleek silhouettes, perfected pleats, flowing layers, edgy angles, and grounding earth tones. Each product has been designed and engineered to perform with functionality in mind from lightweight fabrics for freedom of movement, to mesh panelling for heat release, to double fabric stitching for greater support - these are just a few of the exciting features that are waiting for you to just experience. This range makes you feel good knowing it has a wider impact and actually does good, it performs as you do, as well as make you look simply beautiful in your activewear. Conscious. Beautiful. Ethical. Intuitive. Each on so many levels.
'When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.' —Rumi.
Bhumi is committed to sustainability and fair trade practices. Bhumi only uses 100% organic certified cotton, as certified by the Global Organic Textiles Standard (GOTS) and all of our products are dyed using water based Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) approved dyes, which are free from AZO dyes, toxic chlorine bleach, toxic heavy metals, toxic formaldehyde, toxic aromatic solvents and we do not use any toxic colour fasteners to artificially lock in the colour with chemicals protecting farmers and their families as well as consumers. Each product also comes in its own bag which is made from organic cotton offcuts. These offcuts would otherwise end up in landfill but now you can use them to store your clothing items, socks, underwear, they even make great storage bags for nuts, fruits and vegetables in the fridge. And in some select pieces, offcuts are creatively engineered into the overall design.
'It is our collective and individual responsibility to preserve and tend to the environment in which we all live.' - Dalai Lama
We are all SOULS, beings of energy and light, holding SPACE on this beautiful planet. What we choose to do with the time we have is reflected in our actions be it yoga, meditation, walking, dancing, running. As we perform these activities, it would be of great comfort to know that what we are wearing reflects our goals of self love, love for each other and love for the earth.
Every day, each step we take, every action and reaction, brings us to a new world. A new world where all lives matter equally. A new world where we can use our voice and not be silent about the things that matter. A new world built on relationships, dialogue, connections, transparency and above all respect. Respect for the Earth and Her people.
'What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.' - Jane Goodall
